Cast / Flow Formed / Forged.

The main differences between cast, flow-formed, and forged wheels lie in the manufacturing processes and the characteristics of the resulting wheels. Here's an explanation of each type:

Cast Wheels: Cast wheels are made by pouring molten metal, typically aluminum alloy, into a mold or casting. The molten metal is allowed to cool and solidify, forming the shape of the wheel. Cast wheels are the most common and affordable type of aftermarket wheels.


  • Cost-effective: Cast wheels are generally more affordable compared to flow-formed and forged wheels.

Flow-Formed (Rotary Forged) Wheels: Flow-formed wheels, also known as flow-forged or rotary-forged wheels, are manufactured using a combination of casting and spinning processes. A cast wheel is spun at high speeds while applying pressure and heat. This spinning process stretches and compresses the wheel barrel, which enhances the wheel's strength and reduces its weight.
